New Music Wednesday: 20 Great Walking Remixes!
We did a survey a while back and asked a simple question: “What is your preferred BPM (beats per minute) for your workout music?”
The most common answer? No idea.
The overall vibe? Most of us WANT to know… but we just aren’t sure.
So let’s take this one activity at a time. We’ll start with walking because it has the highest participation rates in the United States today. Walking is a great activity for all shapes and sizes because we all know how to do it. It’s low-impact, non-intimidating and flexible - you can do it for 5 minutes or 50 minutes and you can squeeze it into your day at 6 a.m. or midnight or anytime in between. It’s the friendliest workout on the planet.
The average walking pace is 3 - 4 mph. The ideal BPM range for that pace is 120 - 130 BPM (my favorite is 128 BPM - always feels perfect for a brisk road walk). Combine a great BPM with super hot radio pop songs and you’ve got something to look forward to.
Here are some great highlights from this walking album:
Check it out! If you’re in the mood for a walk… this album can certainly make it more fun ;) #keepingitfresh
