20 Slammin' Run Hard Anthems!

There are two cool ways you can use an intense album like Run Hard to elevate your workouts to higher level:

1) Like a bolt of lightening, Run Hard is designed to make you go faster… harder… and shorter. Yep. Shorter.

Here’s what I mean:

If you walk at 4 mph for 50 minutes, you might burn around 300 calories (depends on age, gender, weight, so this is an approximate amount for 185 lb. female).

BUT… if you run at 7.5 mph for 25 minutes (half the time), you could burn ~400 calories. That’s MORE calories… in HALF the time!

It’s good for your body to work shorter and harder some days…. and longer and easier on others. I often recommend healthy individuals try to get 1 - 2 “run hard” type-workouts per each week. This type of training can help increase your cardiorespiratory power (which increases your ability to burn more calories ;)

Run Hard workouts don’t have to be super long… as little as 15-20 minutes at a higher intensity can be beneficial. And “high intensity” doesn’t mean you have to push yourself to insane, throw-up levels, it simply means you push yourself a little harder than usual. You should always be able to catch your breath and speak a few words at a time - with any type of workout.

20 hardcore anthems at 150 BPM is not easy to keep up with. If you really step/cycle/move to every single beat, you’ll be burning some calories!

2) Try the “music on, music off” approach.

You know what can make a song really moving? Change. Sometimes a song feels super amazing because whatever came before it was lame or boring or just not working for you. If you start to feel numb to your music, turn it off. Enjoy the silence for 2 - 5 minutes. Then… turn your slammin’ cardio music back on. Bam! New energy. Take it and run hard. Try it! #keepingitfresh
