New Music Wednesday: Stadium Jamz!

If you ever feel like you’re working out in slow motion or just… dragging… due to zapped energy levels, then the best thing to do is imagine yourself as a rock star. Yep. Pick something good: crossing a finish line; scoring a goal in front of a huge crowd; or cycling past the pack and leaving them in the dust. Athlete or not, imagine yourself surpassing your “normal” limits… then combine those elevating thoughts with some classic stadium-style songs. It’s a winning combination that offers mental entertainment (the thought of “me” winning a race… ha! etc) and it’s physically and emotionally uplifting - two awesome signs of a great workout.

Stadium Jamz are those tried-and-true, recognizable songs that can bring a huge crowd to their feet - in seconds - every single time. You don’t even have to be a sports fan (I’m not!), but the music style we hear in those huge, awe-inspiring arenas is always a reliable source of positive energy. And it’s not just the sounds… it’s also the lyrics. Songs in this genre always have catchy, memorable lyrics that make you want to sing along. Songs like “Stronger”, “Good Feeling”, “Let’s Get Loud” and “Pump It Up” have lyrics that lift you up and give you a mental boost.

Then there are the songs that make you move… whether you like it or not :) songs like: “Krazy”, “I Like to Move It”, “Party Rock Anthem” and yes, even “Gangnam Style” - sometimes you forget just how fun these songs are until they pop up in your playlist.

I’m a huge fan of variety. Some days I want a steady electro groove… some days I need 80’s rock and some days, yes… I need big, huge, rockin’ Stadium Jamz. They always deliver. Take a listen ;) #keepingitfresh
