Welcome to the lolo Lifestyle Fitness Blog

Hi, my name is Chris and I want to welcome you to the first lolo Lifestyle Blog post. We're hoping to make this your go-to source for information that will help you reach your fitness goals, whatever they may be.

I'm an NASM certified Personal Trainer and the mad scientist here at lolo behind most of the fitness routines in our apps. We've done a ton of research to make sure our fitness apps are not only fun but effective. Not all of the research we've found over the years didn't apply to the apps, but plenty of it can help you get great results and that's why we decided to start this blog. We understand the challenges that come with reaching your goals, and we always want to provide you with the tools to get there.

Losing weight is hard.

Building muscle is hard.

Getting conditioned for an event or competition is hard.

I've personally been through all
these tough challenges and I've helped hundreds of people reach their goals as well (tens of thousands if you count the people using our apps). I can't describe how transformative it can be to your physical and emotional well-being. I've experienced it in my own life and I've seen how getting in shape changes people's whole world. It isn't just about looking good, it's about feeling good and truly enjoying your life. Studies have shown how exercise is as effective for treating depression as Prozak. People just don't understand how crappy unhealthy eating and inactivity makes them feel on a daily basis. It's like the boiling frog analogy:

They say if you put a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will leap out right away to escape the danger. But, if you put a frog in a room temperature pot and then gradually heat it until it starts boiling, the frog won't become aware of the danger until it is too late.

So many people are slowly boiling right now and they don't even know it.

We care about your results. We want to give you the tools you need to transform your body and your life. We want to show you how to look and feel your best.

I've personally trained hundreds of people over the years and I've found that once people learn how nutrition and exercise really affects their bodies, they are able to break through years of failure and frustration and finally see success.

We want this blog to be a place were you can ignore the sea of misinformation and conflicting "facts" out there and focus on real knowledge backed by peer-reviewed research. That means research that is double checked to ensure it's unbiased and accurate. You wouldn't trust a smoking study by RJ Reynolds and there's plenty of exercise and nutrition research out there with conflicts of interest that should make you question their findings as well. We will sort through all the noise out there so this blog can be a reliable place for finding the most trustworthy information.

Feel free to send your exercise and nutrition questions to me at chris@lolofit.com. If you have questions, then more people likely do as well. We want to make this a place where people can share their successes and their frustrations and most importantly, a place to get your questions answered so you can finally hit your goals.
