New Music Wednesday: Make It Pop!

This type of music is easy to explain. It’s pop. 100%. Mixed in a non-stop format - so you can’t miss a beat - and set at a faster, workout-friendly pace. Workout pop is happy and fun. It works great when you are in a bad mood or simply dreading the treadmill (it happens to the best of us ;). Play something like this… press start… and your day gets better with every step.

I’m a fitness instructor and a music expert and the one question I always get asked is, “why do workout remixes sound so different?”. The answer is simple: workout remixes are designed to be used during a workout… not in your car, at your big party, or while you type away at work. (You can use them in those places too though!) Workout music - in the context of a workout - feels right. If you listen to the beat, then move to it… you’ll likely end up working out harder and longer.

Make It Pop! is a series we make a lot of… because these albums are designed to feature the “hottest” of the hot tracks… right now! This is volume 13, and it really rocks with great songs like, “G.D.F.R.”, “Juicy Wiggle” and “Cheerleader”. The key features of this mix are:

  • Every song is a pop hit
  • Each song is ~3-4 minutes
  • Continuous 132 beats per minute
  • Non-stop so you can run/step/walk/lift to the beat, non-stop for up to 60 minutes

I recommend this album if you want to feel carefree and happy during your workout. It’ll keep you physically moving while your mind melts into the easy grooves. Take a listen! #keepingitfresh
